Miro May works as a portrait, reportage and travel photographer all over the world. He has traveled to more than 50 countries and visited many remote places. Whether in the African bush or in impoverished Asian villages, May always seeks contact with locals and indigenous people off the beaten track and captures the encounters and mutual curiosity with his camera.
The result is such intense portrait shots of inhabitants of far-away countries such as Sierra Leone, Bangladesh, Ethiopia or the Philippines.
His photos have been published in National Geographic and National Geographic Traveller and he has collaborated with other magazines such as Stern and GEO.
