National Gallery Prague

Czech Center for Visual Arts

The National Gallery in Prague is the Czech Republic's most significant art institution. Its collections span from the Middle Ages to the present and include both Czech and international works. These are exhibited at several historical sites in the city – including the Trade Fair Palace for modern and contemporary art, as well as the St. Agnes Monastery with medieval works. In addition to artists like Alfons Mucha, František Kupka, and Toyen, you can also find works by Monet, Klimt, and Picasso. The National Gallery sees itself as an open space for education, exchange, and contemporary art within the European context.
