International Sculptor and Painter
The British-born Lincoln Seligman (*1950) initially studied law at Oxford, but after the birth of his son, he decided to pursue his great passion: art. In the following years, he created impressive sculptures made from steel, glass, and textiles, which can be seen worldwide in atrium spaces of major corporations and airports. Today, he spends most of his time painting for his exhibitions in London and New York.
Lincoln Seligman is particularly known for his large-scale, site-specific installations, often created in close collaboration with architectural firms. His most significant works include pieces for Hong Kong Airport, Heathrow Terminal 5, the Peninsula Hotel in Bangkok, as well as various art projects in Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong. His sculptures are characterized by clear lines, floating lightness, and architectural elegance.
In addition to his sculptural work, Seligman has developed a successful career as a painter in recent years. His paintings, often abstract or minimalist, feature a calm color palette, transparent layers, and a meditative character. In the UK, he is now considered a prominent figure in the contemporary art scene. Seligman lives and works in London and the countryside, where he continues to exhibit internationally and realize new projects.
