Meet zamart – the artist of abstract expression. Her works, inspired by worldwide travels, originate from sketches, photographs, ink, and watercolor, unfolding in a distinctively modern style. Zamart was born in Berlin in 1969 and developed a passion for discovering new places early on. As a flight attendant and tour guide, she traveled to numerous countries, drawing inspiration from the impressions and cultures around the world. She spent several years in Portugal and Spain before finally finding her new home in Hamburg.
A serious car accident in 2000 profoundly changed her life. The lengthy medical treatment led her to seek new forms of expression, and she found her voice in art. During this time, she began painting and photography and also dedicated herself intensively to learning to play the piano.
Today, zamart travels again with passion and draws creative impulses for her work from these journeys. On the road, she sketches her ideas, which she further develops into independent artworks in her studio. Her distinctive, abstracted style arises from a blend of observation, memory, and inner interpretation.
Her preferred techniques include working on paper with ink and watercolors, which she executes with a clear, almost poetic visual language. Additionally, she processes her photographs with artistic filters, allowing analog and digital elements to merge in her works. In this way, zamart creates images that reflect the diversity and beauty of the world while simultaneously revealing her very personal perspective.
